Tom Hagen Trio featuring Rick Reuther

The Tom Hagen Trio featuring Rick Reuther has been delighting audiences with their music for more than twelve years. The trio is vocalist/guitarist Rick Reuther, pianist Tom Hagen and drummer/vocalist Cherie Lynn.  Performing a wide variety of music, including jazz, pop, Broadway & big band, they never fail to make a connection with their audience.  As a band, the trio has one well received CD in release, titled “One”.  They perform for concerts, special events, night clubs and are a mainstay in the lounge at Notos in Grand Rapids, MI, performing every Wednesday evening, on-going now for ten years.

The voice of vocalist Rick Reuther is often compared to those of Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Tony Bennett and Bobby Darin.  From swinging standards to tender ballads, this is a singer in command of his craft.  Rick is also an accomplished guitarist and composer who has performed his one man show across the country.  Rick has three well received CDs in release.  He is also the owner of MUSIC HOST ENTERTAINMENT, a Grand Rapids, MI based entertainment co. that provides music for events of all kinds.

Pianist Tom Hagen is an accomplished performer on a half dozen instruments including piano, clarinet, sax & guitar.  Tom is a retired high school band and choral director and has worked professionally with many big name stars, including Steve Allen, Pearl Bailey, Vic Damone and Sally Struthers.  He was the leader of the house band at Tootsie Van Kelly’s in the Amway Grand Hotel and was the 2006 West Michigan Jazz Society’s Musician of the year.

Cherie Lynn is an accomplished drummer, vocalist, bassist, guitarist and composer.  She has worked professionally with many big names and was part of the house band at the legendary Tootsie Van Kelly’s for many years.  Her well received CD, “Just You, Just Me”, was recently followed by the release of her newest project, “Two for the Road” which includes several of her own compositions.
